Follow-up plans
Sequences of WhatsApp, SMS, email, calls and tasks on a business-day clock, that pause when the lead responds.

What you need
- Permission to manage campaigns (Owner, Admin or Marketing by default)
- Starter includes 5 active plans; more on Growth and above

A follow-up plan keeps in touch with a lead over days or weeks: a WhatsApp today, a call task on day 2, an email with options on day 4, a check-in on day 10. It runs on your business calendar and stops when the lead responds.
Create a plan
- Go to Campaigns → Sequences and create a plan. Name it, then add the steps — WhatsApp, SMS, email, calls and tasks.
- Set the delay of each step in business days or hours. The timeline shows when each step goes out for a lead enrolled now, on your business calendar.
- Choose Pause the plan when: the lead replies, a call longer than a couple of minutes is logged, or a visit is booked. A lead that is won, lost or closed always leaves the plan.
- Activate it. A draft plan enrols nobody.
Enrol leads
- From a lead’s page, or select leads on the leads list → Follow-up plan.
- Enrol automatically — leads that match join the plan when an event happens (for example, a new lead from a source), once at a time.
A paused lead keeps its place; resume it from the lead page or the plan’s enrolments.
Rules that always apply
- Promotional steps need the lead’s consent (for SMS, an enquiry in the last 7 days also counts).
- Messages wait for quiet hours to end.
- WhatsApp steps outside the 24-hour window use approved templates.
Why leads stopped and the step analytics show where leads reply, pause or drop out.
