Every message PropZolo sends — from an agent, an automation, a follow-up plan or a broadcast — passes the same checks first. If one fails, the message is not sent, and you see the reason in plain words.
Message purposes
| Purpose | Examples | Needs |
|---|---|---|
| Transactional | A receipt, an OTP | Nothing extra |
| Service | Visit confirmation, documents, answering a question | Nothing extra — except DLT service-explicit SMS, which need explicit consent |
| Promotional | New launches, offers, new listings, price drops | Consent — or, for SMS, an enquiry in the last 7 days |
Consent and opt-outs
- Consent is recorded per person and channel with its basis (an enquiry, explicit consent on a form, an existing customer) and proof. See Privacy notices and consent.
- STOP replies on SMS and WhatsApp, and email unsubscribe links, record an opt-out. Nobody receives promotions on that channel again.
The TRAI 7-day enquiry window
Under TRAI’s rules (TCCCPR), a person who enquired with you may receive promotional SMS for 7 days after their enquiry even without explicit consent. After that, promotional SMS need explicit consent. PropZolo keeps the raw enquiry (the portal email, the form post) as evidence of when they enquired.
DND (NCPR)
Numbers on the Do Not Disturb register receive promotional SMS only with consent registered on the operators’ platform. Service and transactional messages are not affected.
Quiet hours
- Promotional messages are held during quiet hours — 21:00 to 09:00 in your company’s time zone by default — and go out when they end. Admins can make the quiet period longer, not shorter, and can also hold service messages.
- Promotional SMS go out only between 10:00 and 21:00 (the operators’ band).
Frequency caps
To avoid annoying people, each contact receives at most 2 promotional messages a day and 7 a week across channels, by default.
